Delegation from Gansu Medical College visits BRC in Bayreuth

BRC in Bayreuth explores new paths in caregiving

To ensure that people in Germany can age with dignity in the future, the Bayreuth District Association of the BRC has set the goal of designing caregiving in a forward-looking manner. With an international partner network, the Bayreuth District Association of the BRC is seeking solutions to successfully address challenges such as the shortage of skilled workers and demographic change in the caregiving sector.

Global partnership

A promising partner in this initiative is the Gansu Medical College from the Chinese province of Gansu, which boasts over 65 years of experience in training medical and healthcare professionals.

Delegation from Gansu Medical College visits the BRC in Bayreuth

In June 2024, a delegation from Gansu Medical College visited the BRC in Bayreuth to deepen the cooperation between the two institutions. The delegation, consisting of Vice President Yumin Zhao, Zhaoyan Duan (Representative of the Nursing Institute, Education Department), and Litong Chen (Staff of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department), was warmly welcomed by Markus Ruckdeschel, Managing Director of the Bayreuth District Association of the BRC, and Chen Chen, Head of the International Recruiting Department.

Delegation des Gansu Medical Colleges, bestehend aus dem Vizerektor Yumin Zhao, Zhaoyan Duan (Vertreterin des Pflegeinstituts, Abteilung Bildung) und Litong Chen (Mitarbeiterin der Abteilung für internationalen Austausch und Zusammenarbeit), wurde von Markus Ruckdeschel, Geschäftsführer des BRK-Kreisverbandes Bayreuth, und Chen Chen, Inhaberin der Stabsstelle für internationales Recruiting, herzlich empfangen.

Signing of a letter of intent for collaboration

The visit included the official signing of a Letter of Intent as well as tours of various facilities and business areas of the Bayreuth District Association of the BRC. The program included visits to the BRC Social Station Bayreuth, the district association’s residential facilities – BRC-Altstadtpark and BRC-Ruhesitz – as well as the main station of the BRC emergency services and the Integrated Control Center Bayreuth/Kulmbach.

Return visit of the BRC in August

A return visit of a delegation from the Bayreuth District Association of the BRC to Gansu Medical College is planned for August 2024. The Bayreuth District Association of the BRC thanks the delegation from Gansu Medical College for their visit and looks forward to a continued successful collaboration.
