Language skills

Language requirements

In Bavaria, the same general language requirements for nursing training and working as a nurse apply as in Germany as a whole. This means that you should have a good knowledge of German at level B2 or higher. Here are some specific points for Bavaria.

1.

German language skills at level B2 or higher

As already mentioned, in Bavaria you should be able to prove that you have German language skills at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) before starting your nursing training. This is a nationally recognized requirement.

Support with language acquisition

If your German language skills are not sufficient to meet the requirements, we often have support programs and language courses that can help you improve your German language skills. These courses can be particularly helpful for international applicants.

2.

3.

Practical tests and communication with senior citizens

During your training and in your daily work as a nurse, you must not only meet the language requirements for documentation and specialist communication, but also be able to communicate clearly and sensitively with patients and their relatives.

It is advisable to find out about the specific requirements from us at an early stage, especially if you come from abroad or need special support in acquiring the necessary language skills. Compliance with the language requirements is crucial for successfully completing nursing training and being able to work for us as a nurse.
