The Bavarian Red Cross is a public corporation based in Munich in accordance with the Law on the Legal Status of the Bavarian Red Cross of July 16, 1986 (Law on the Legal Status of the Bavarian Red Cross of July 16, 1986, Bavarian Law and Ordinance Gazette No. 13/1986, 281-1-I, last amended by the Law of December 27, 1999). The Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, for Sport and Integration, Odeonsplatz 3, 80539 Munich, is responsible for the legal supervision subject to special regulations.

The Regional Association of the BRK endeavors to observe the copyrights of the graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts used in all publications, to use graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts created by itself or to make use of license-free graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts.
The copyright for published, self-created objects remains solely with the BRK-Landesverband. Reproduction or use of such graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts in other electronic or printed publications is not permitted without the express consent of the BRK-Landesverband.
The BRK does not currently participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
